resolutions for 2024
in which I continue to be a new year's resolutions person...
To be both rigorous and gentle with oneself; to be both rigorous and gentle with others; to orient oneself, always, toward collective struggle; to understand solidarity as something that exists beyond individual action; to believe deeply in other people’s capacity for kindness, care, and revolutionary change; to build people up; to not shy away from the difficult work of relationship and capacity building in our movements; to question whether what we’re doing is ever enough; to reject performance; to not lose sight of what matters; to let go of prestige and personal ambition; to want more, and better, for all of us; to be more generous and giving; to recognize beauty, bear witness to it, in all its quiet and little ways; to not look away from grief; to organize with my whole heart; to not surrender myself to convenience; to not deprive myself of joy; to continue believing in love.
